What’s included in your mowing service?

Deep Cuts Lawn Services believes in offering a quality and reliable service. That means perfecting the services we offer. We offer mowing, trimming, and blowing of your lawn. We cut your grass according to what will keep your grass healthy. Most lawns in Utah contain Kentucky Bluegrass and stays healthiest when maintained at a length of 3-3.5 inches during the summer and 2.5-3 inches during the spring and call. How homeowners trim their lawns comes down to preference. Our goal is to keep the edges of your lawn sharp without burning your grass and promoting healthy growth. We also blow all clippings off your driveways, walkways and curbs to reveal a clean yard.

How much do you charge for your mowing service?

The price we charge for our mowing services depends largely upon your lawn. The primary factors we consider are surface area, yard installations (planters, trees, sheds, trampolines), and how frequently you’d like your lawn mowed. Oftentimes we offer a discounted rate or FREE first service if you decide to choose us as your lawn maintenance provider.

How often should I have my lawn mowed?

Your lawn should be mowed weekly or biweekly. We recommend weekly lawn maintenance for a few reasons. First, long grass can prevent sun from reaching the soil and roots of your lawn. The process of photosynthesis, where plants take in light and generate food for themselves, requires sunlight. Long grass may stifle this process. Second, mowing long grass may require additional passes on your lawn which can cause stress and potentially leave clumps of grass on your lawn. Last, long grass may create a breeding ground for pests and turn your once beautiful lawn into an unpleasant place to be.

Do you bag or mulch grass clippings?

We believe in doing as little harm to your lawn as possible. That means reintroducing as much nutrients into the lawn as we can as we move across your lawn. Mulch can be made up of grass clippings, leaves, straw, sawdust, and wood chips. Applying it to the surface of your soil can lock in moisture, reduce weed growth, and promote overall soil health.
